It’s Through Contrast That We See Things More Clearly
Contrast is not to be feared or resisted; instead, it's a natural and necessary aspect of the world's rhythm.

“Learn to see God in the details of your life, for he is everywhere.” ~Teresa of Avila
Life is a dance helping us awaken. In the ancient Eastern philosophy of Taoism, yin and yang represent the harmonious interplay of opposites in the universe. This eternal dance of contrasting forces, light and dark, masculine and feminine, order and chaos, reminds us that change is an inherent aspect of life. These contrasts of personal experiences or internal struggles can manifest in the external environment and atmosphere, shaping our societies and cultures. We must learn to navigate this journey. We often search for clarity to help us choose our path. When we embrace this journey, we flow with the universe, understanding that part of our birthright is to nurture our aliveness.
The quiet observer
In this hidden role, I step aside as a quiet observer, watching as others strive to make their mark in a world filled with noise and conflict. Yet, in the stillness, I find freedom in being myself. There are many ways to live our lives in service to love and light, as there are hidden flowers in our gardens.
The seasons turn into a story of growth and decay, as do the landscape and ecosystem around us. The migration patterns of birds, the hibernation of animals, and the growth cycles of plants all demonstrate the dynamic interplay of opposites. In this context, contrast is not to be feared or resisted; instead, it’s a natural and necessary aspect of the world’s rhythm. In this wake-up call, I’ve discovered a different voice—a chance to question, challenge assumptions, explore, and see. We are constantly living a reflection of whatever we are outputting into the world. This is a process of growth, an invitation to new perspectives which can lead to new insights and solutions. It’s essential to cultivate an adaptable mindset, like the bamboo: flexible, receptive, and embracing the fluidity of life. You will know when you are using your power to serve love because it will strengthen your heart. Instead of using your energy to be part of the masses of frustration or anger, which creates energetic resistance, step forward on your life path and express yourself in a clearer, stronger, more empowering way. An energy that comes from the core of your existence and not from fear. As your light shines brighter, you will be helping others step away from the dark and into the light.
I like to spend my time in the present moment knowing what I create now intentionally will be reflected in the future. As the quiet observer, I’m also active in tuning in to the positive resources of the universe.
Life offers a map, a defined pattern within our humanity. There are roads to connect our souls and align us with our purpose. Part of our birthright is to remember who we truly are.
Do not allow fear-based reality to temper your spirit, tame your heart, or dull your dreams.
What contrast are you currently experiencing in your life? Can you sit with it, and allow clarity to emerge?
Thank you for reading.
May the flow be with you always! 🙏🏽
