This week, I’d like to share with you a deeply personal and evolving poem. It was born from a transformative Wild Musing Poetry Workshop in 2022 and has continued to unfold, guided by my intuition. Over time, I’ve expanded it, allowing new insights to emerge.
Reflecting on the essence of humanness, I often ponder the mystery of our existence. We are all interconnected, forming a delicate web of humanity. Our experiences are linked, making us part of a larger, collective whole.
Our shared human experience transcends the boundaries of distance and circumstances. What happens in one place can ripple out, resonating within us and reminding us that we are never truly separate.
In this heartfelt exploration of the human experience, I’m touching on the fragility and resilience of the human spirit, the coexistence of love and pain, and the bonds that connect us all.
The Kaleidoscope of Humanness
We enter this world, fragile and new, clothed in the tender flesh of humanity From the realm of spirit, where our journey transforms. We assume roles to play, In darkness or in divine light. Our choices forge the future with ethics as our guide. Shaping family, work, and relationships that remain. Consequences emerge like shadows from our past Reminding us that every decision is about who we are. Do we choose to be human, or is it selected for us? Whatever the truth may be, our entrance is clear; A human birth, born of love and mortal design, Holds a spark of life, and our journey unfolds in time. We yearn to love and be loved, to leave a lasting mark, To make a meaningful difference and shine with a gentle spark. Yet, in pursuit of significance, we may stumble and stray If our actions clash with our values and the principles we hold each day. Are we chasing significance or craving validation’s gentle touch? Do we yearn to be needed, to feel wanted and loved so much? What is the hollow ache within, the void we cannot define? What is the deepest longing that drives us, the question that echoes through our mind? We are fragile, yet unbreakable souls. A delicate balance of strength and tenderness, forever unspoken We stumble, fall, and rise; Our resilience is a hymn to the human spirit, forever shining through. Our hearts beat with both rhythm of joy and sorrow, A bittersweet melody that echoes, a harmony flow. We love, we lose, we laugh, we weep; Our emotions are a kaleidoscope of colors in an eternal cosmic sweep. We embark on a lifelong quest for meaning, purpose, and for truth, A journey of self-discovery that unfolds with each passing year. Through trial and error, we learn, we grow, and we evolve, Our imperfections will turn into the beauty of our human race. We are intricate, multifaceted beings, woven from contrasting threads, A tapestry of contradiction, where light and darkness softly spread. Yin and yang, hope and despair, looped in a delicate dance, A balance of opposites that we must navigate with each tender chance. Yet, in all our beautiful humanity, we find common ground, A shared vulnerability that binds us, heart to heart, without a sound. We are all in this together, a fragile, resilient, and courageous circle, United by the power of our shared humanity spirit, shining radiantly.

Take a one-minute mindfulness pause
Place your hand on your heart center, gently lower your gaze, and breathe in deeply. Exhale out of your mouth.
As you pause, cultivate compassion by bringing to mind the individuals in Los Angeles who may be experiencing hardship or struggle.
Hold them in your thoughts with kindness and understanding. When you’re ready open your eyes, return to your day with a sense of empathy and connection.
Thank you.
May the flow be with you now and always! 🙏🏽
With love,
Yoli
