Don’t See What You Want, Sense What It Is
Listening and embracing the mystery, complexity, and beauty of the world around me.

Reflections #24
Looking back on my journey, I realize how much I’ve relied on my gut feelings, the subtle whispers of my intuition, and the gentle nudges of my heart. I’ve come to understand that some of the most important moments in my life were guided by sensing rather than seeing. A feeling of unease prompted me to reevaluate a decision, a sense of excitement drew me toward a new opportunity, and a quiet sense of knowing helped me navigate uncertainty.
Reflecting on these experiences, I’ve begun to appreciate the value of trusting my inner wisdom and paying attention to the subtle patterns and rhythms that underlie all of life. When I’m in the natural world, I feel the same energy. I’ve felt the pulse of life. It’s about embracing the mystery, complexity, and beauty of the world around me. When I want to know about a specific situation, I become still and listen with my physical ears, and I also become aware of taste, touch, and smell to see if God will use these physical means to download a spiritual answer. At the same time, I realize that God might also communicate a response to me through any of my spiritual senses. Listening is a creative force. Something wonderful happens when you listen fully with your whole body. It’s an attunement, like aligning with the correct radio station.
What I’m focusing on
Listening, feeling, paying attention, and noticing the insights. It’s about tuning in to the opportunities to express, create, and learn in the desired ways. Staying open. These opportunities often occur in unexpected ways. I won’t be impatient. I’m trusting that I will understand my unique life path more deeply.
In Spanish I hear things with my body, my senses, my blood, not with my mind. It reaches me through subterranean channels of atavistic memories. It touches a different Anaïs, one I scarcely know. ~Anaïs Nin

I was just reflecting on these ideas, about aligning + trusting from the inside out. this felt like a major confirmation to the importance of trusting those feelings but also taking the time to continue to study and learn from that inner flow.
Beautiful letter, thank you!🌹💫
The importance of our sense of self and sense of our surroundings can hardly be overstated.
